No, seriously. We capture stories, and stories are about people. Not the shoes, invitations, trinkets or the flask of whiskey (ok, maybe that one has a story). For certain we will photograph those things, but we are definitely not there to do a styled product shoot. Or an endless three hour editorial/smooching smession (that’s what engagement sessions are for!). Our thing is finding a way to anticipate emotional, exciting, and most of all memorable moments that you will be thrilled and astonished to discover we captured on your wedding day.
Dad breaking down seeing you in your dress, nothing but smiles on your rainy wedding day, your favorite little person dumping her flowers on herself right before you make your way up the aisle, Your final goodbyes after the most uncoordinated sparkler lighting event in history. We’ve been telling stories through film and photo for quite some time. And what i’ve learned in that journey is that so many couples don’t want their videographer to show up with a production truck and then start imposing their “must-have” shots on them. What they really want is to preserve their wedding memories, make it look beautiful, and be done by an experienced wedding videographer and NOT by their guests (unplugged wedding anyone?). Bring us along for that, and you’ll end up with big and small moments captured however they happened, according to plan or not, because we believe that Authenticity is what makes these moments beautiful.
